Re: Exactachess gone?
It is a bit sad that sometimes people totally break with computerchess, or feel they are forced to give it up, because of differences of opinion, or because it can take up a lot of time or for whatevever reason.
Bryan Hofmann's site Cito.AtSpace.com is still off the air and one site from Bruce Moreland where his more extended computerchess notes were, is also not continued it seems.
I see this now connects to another site which is rather fishy, looks like it could be hacked or something or somebody using expired domains for their own advertising. Better not visit the link I think.
The old site is still there. I hope Bruce has not lost interest in computerchess, I can't imagine he has.
But sometimes people come back as well! You never know..

Hi Graham,
No it seems to be some page with links to online dating, selling cards for Bruce Springsteen in Amsterdam Arena etc. Some search engine is connected with it I think. I made the link non clickable in my post. I don't think Bruce Moreland would approve of this site taking up his domain...

Re: Exactachess gone?
There has been not too much traffic in Exactachess during the last time. So I had been afraid today it has been sent sleeping. Currently there are some postings on support of variants and related problems. Looks like a minority of a minority. But there still is life beyond of Rybka ... ;-)

Re: Exactachess gone?
Most of Bruce's notes are still there fortunately. But there were a few additions on the disappeared site that I did not save either, that why I went to take a look. The site was gone. But hopefully we will hear from Bruce again one of these days and can ask him if he would want to finish his notes. I often look them up and it is a very important reference for chess programming. You only realize such things fully when they are not there anymore...
