TIA,
Heard that ZCT and Clarabit will be released a few weeks later...I had had a talk with Clarabit author who was just as friendly.

Weid release which was scheduled november last year was postponed.

Two or three new engines for testing
is really great news. Thanks, Swami.
I just notice that I forgot adding Tinker
to this list. Well, having half of them for
tests would be great. Anyway, I dont
expect Symbolic, Telepath and Oxygen
to be released soon.

Bye,

I dont think Symbolic will ever be released. Even if it were to be released most of us wouldnt be able to play with it from what I understand. Weid is the one that I really want, you can play with it and then roll it up and smoke it.

You would only like some of those engines if you have a fetish for weak engines. Tinker is a great engine, very easy to configure and it has no outstanding bugs...Crash Test Dummy wont be released any time soon. Richard told me a while that he could send me The Baron if I could send him commented games, I wish I was a strong player. You wouldnt have a hard time getting Now, Tinker, or Timea. The engine authors are members fo this forum, you could just contact them via Pm.

Code: Select all

 Tinker 6.18 : 2159 36 (+ 30,= 0,- 6), 83.3 %

Only one fetish would make me want some of those engines, and would make me throw my mind into the whole arena of free engines.
And that fetish would be a fetish of wanting to see how much I could enjoy life without losing or even spending hardly any money.

In fact, I am very very interested in that fetish, but..... I never go in for it, simply because destiny somehow does not allow me such fetishes. All attempts to save money in these ways simply fail, and it seems I'm meant for a higher purpose.

BUT.......
I certainly do like the idea, as you can REALLY get decent chess programs today for free, that are much stronger than anything which costed money, not too many years ago. Maybe even more than what costed millions.
