As far as I am concerned, there is no such Rybkabigo wrote:Why isn't the 64 bit single Rybka not tested?

?? I don't understand your response. There is definitely a rybka 64bit that is not mutiprocessor.Dr.Wael Deeb wrote:As far as I am concerned, there is no such Rybkabigo wrote:Why isn't the 64 bit single Rybka not tested?

If you're referring to 2.3.2a, check out CCRL which includes the 64-bit 1 CPU version.bigo wrote:?? I don't understand your response. I suppose that Wael is saying, that after he got his dual, he doesn't concern himself about the sp-engines if there's an mp-version...bigo wrote:?? I don't understand your response. Though, a number of sp's can be very useful used together on each their tread on an mp-machine during analysis.

No, I think he's saying that there is no such things as Rybka3.2.1a x64

Re: Rybka2.32a x64 and CEGT
We usually test
32bit single versions and
64bit smp versions
because we simply do not have more CPU-time.
But if sometimes we will have a long time no more new engines, we could start testing e.g. too
Rybka 2.32a x64 1CPU
Rybka 2.32a w32 2CPU
Rybka 2.32a w32 4CPU
and of course the same with other smp engines and older Rybka versions too

Hi,bigo wrote:Why isn't the 64 bit single Rybka not tested?
as Werner pointed out, it is not possible to test every combination of technology (x64, w32) and hardware (1,2,4 CPU). For a halfway reliable rating-comparison you need at least 300-500 games, the more the better. With the a.m. 6 combinations this would be up to 3000 games! This is not possible with our hardware-power and longer time controls as 40/20 and even less with 40/120.
In our blitz-list you can find Rybka 2.3.2a x64 1CPU with more than 1200 games and also older Rybkas and other engines like Zappa and Naum with 64bit-single too, have a look at: http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/40_4_Ra ... liste.html
