Brutality in chess

Post by Matthias Gemuh »

I am quite happy that my chess engines are weak.
I think that strong engines are wicked and brutal.
Some simply delight in massacre ! That's bad

My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

It is all relative, my dear Matthias: from my standpont the BigLion is as cruel as Toga for example.

Hi...Well, that's what makes them play a good, strong game!

That is what they are programed to do....

It makes the game more exciting I think.... :D

Otherwise, engines would just play a boring game...and we would not like that either....

But, I've read complains about people considering that some of the strongest engines play some boring chess...

Very frequently I recognize my engine simply watching it play.
Its moves are unusually friendly and the games unusually short.

Matthias.
