Another mediocre version of the engine.

Post by CThinker »

After a long time, I have decided to simply release whatever state the current version is.

The 5.x version has been playing at WBEC for several editions now. I think its time to get it out in public. The improvements over version 4.7 is not that much.

The pocket PC engine and UI will also get an update, next.

Good news Lance. 8-)

Are you likely to release any stronger versions further down the track or have you stopped working on Thinker?

Regards, Graham.

Lance you rule, your engine was one of the most promising at the time of release of 4.7 and you almost disappeared from the face of earth. Welcome back, I hope you will get back to the spot you were when you left the chess scene. I guess I will play with the passive thinker first.

Any plans to develop the pocket pc gui any further? With the strong engine and the FICs support, it wouldn't take much to make it commercial. Anyway, I like to use it to play on FICs :D

Thanks

Best regards

Excellent! Thank you very much, Lance. Now I think I'm considering running the CCB tournament again in the middle of important stuff going on at work...but I've not yet decided.
