First official CIS chess programs championship will take place 29th February — 2nd March 2008 in Russian State Social University (RSSU) (Moscow, 3rd RSSU Building, Big Chess Hall. Wilhelm Pieck street, 4, near Botanichesky Sad metro station).
13 chess programs from Russian Federation, Belarus and Ukraine will participate the Championship.
Swiss tournament with 60 min. + 15 sec. per game time control will be the main part of the Championship. All programs will use the same hardware.
The organizers of the Championship are RSSU and sdchess.ru site, which was the organizer of some unofficial CIS championships at 2004—2006.
