Problem with Chess Tiger 2007 and fixed depth searches

Last night I decided to play against Chess Tiger 2007 with the engine limited to searching to one ply. The engine overrode the one ply search setting in both Arena and the Chessbase GUI. However, CT would comply with a one ply search limitation in the ChessPartner GUI. I might mention that a few times it seemed to work in the Chessbase GUI, but after a few moves the engine would stop calculating.

Is this a known bug or did I mess something up?

Limitation in search is a feature under ChessPartner GUI (in Levels menu).It works very well with all Lokasoft native engines.
This feature is absent in Fritz GUI ( at least like direct feature). I don't know Arena GUI.

Thanks for the help. It certainly appears that you can't limit the search depth in the Chessbase GUI or Arena with this engine. The feature is appears in both GUIs, but it doesn't seem to work with this engine.
