From the last CIS that was held I can confirm that this engine has made a big leap regarding the playing strength....

I'd want to know if the great leap is due to becoming a "WildCatka" or due to some other reason.

Yes, Ulysses, now all ex-soviet engines became clones of Strelka.

If this is true, why only Soviet engines?

If I remember correctly, I downloaded the first version of wildcat in early 2000. If he had wanted to make a clone engine, he could have picked from a lot of options. Crafty, Glaurung, Fruit, Toga, Scorpio, slowchess etc comes to mind. Why make a clone all of a sudden?

It was a question, not an accusation. I saw this picture:

And wondered if it was true... (I didn't want to imply that it was a clone, but that maybe it got stronger from Strelka's ideas, not that there is anything bad about that.)
