I checked the hiarcs site even before I went to sleep yesterday. Goddarn, if I had waited another 16 minutes, I would have received the upgrade email. I just put in an order few minutes ago, I have Hiarcs installed on my system, just waiting for a key, that's all.

How do you come to such a conclusion before Hiarcs 12
has played enough games vs other engines?

Well, from my side I can already say that it will not take #1
I havent played 1k games but after the following result against Rybka 2.3.2a on my Quad QX6700 3min/game I do not think it necessary to have 1k games to state that.
Rybka leads by +16 =11 -6

Now between Hiarcs 12, Naum 3 and Zappa Mexico II, it my be necessary to have much more games to say who will take #2

The deep version would have to be more than 100 points stronger than version 11.2 (4 CPU) to overtake Zappa and Naum.

Extremely strong, sharp as a surgeon knife, demolishing machine. Great grasp of positional subtleties mixed with ferocious tactics. You are just overwhelmed.
I am very impressed.
Let me add that every top engine can beat me, for sure, BUT the way hiarcs in general does it and how this 12 version in particular do it is awesome.
You simply cannot believe what you see in the board.
Perhaps according to statistics, Rybka is somewhat stronger -perhaps- but it bores me a lot due to his a la karpov style.

Well, just a matter of tastes

3min a game isn't really good enough to tell you anything. A program that wins every game at that time control might lose every game at 40 in 120 etc.
