Kasparov complained that the Deep Blue operators opened the "a" file and blocked his e pawn from advancing.
Here I used four of todays programs, including Little Thought. Notice Little Thought also does both.
All of the posted Positions are after the “a” file is open and the black e pawn is blocked or captured.
Rybka is only program that did not do both. Maybe with enough time Rybka would block e pawn. All analysis saved.
