I get the following message, I have cygwin1.dll in few directories, and they are all same..What can I do?? I noticed that messing around with the different versions of cygwin1 has messed up all the engines that uses it..
16375*1*-------------------Starting engine 1 Gnuchess 5.0 Gazebo--------------------
16375*1*Configured Engine 1 Type: WB2
16515*1*Engine 1 dir: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\arena_11\Engines\GnuChess_5.0_(gazebo)_win32
16578*1*Engine 1 commandline: "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\arena_11\Engines\GnuChess_5.0_(gazebo)_win32\gnuchess.exe"
16828<1: 8 [main] ? (1640) C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\arena_11\Engines\GnuChess_5.0_(gazebo)_win32\gnuchess.exe: *** fatal error - system shared memory version mismatch detected - 0x2D1E009C/0x8A88009C.
16828<1:This problem is probably due to using incompatible versions of the cygwin DLL.
16828<1:Search for cygwin1.dll using the Windows Start->Find/Search facility
16828<1:and delete all but the most recent version. The most recent version *should*
16828<1:reside in x:\cygwin\bin, where 'x' is the drive on which you have
16843<1:installed the cygwin distribution. Rebooting is also suggested if you
16843<1:are unable to find another cygwin DLL.

I wish Tony would stop picking on my poor engines!. I'm sure they are not as bugged as he makes out.
Yeh, it's a cygwin clash. Make sure you haven't got a cygwin1.dll lurking in your system32 dir or some app loading it at startup.

Jim, may be you didnt notice it. I am not trying to nit pick on your versions. You didnt consider the possibility that I prefer your versions due to the performance benefits. The problem with Gnuchess is based on a Cygwin problem and not a problem with your build. I just dont know how to fix it..

Use latest version cygwin1.dll for all engines, unless for some reason the latest won't work.

I just noticed that you sneaked two releases, Joanna 2002 fix and MsKCP which I thought ws only a knightmate version. I will give those two a try once again.
