CEGT - rating lists June 1st 2008

Post by Werner »

Hi all :-),

our updated rating lists are now online and can be found under the attached links.

40 / 120:
We made an update of our 40/120-list for dual/single engines with more than 1000 new games. Results of the actual matches you will find as usual in our new forum: http://cegt.foren-city.de/
And of course we updated the downloads too. Here are the most interesting (new) entries:

Code: Select all

6 Naum 3 x64 2CPU 2937 +16 -16 1029 games
8 Naum 2.2 x64 2CPU 2902 +14 -14 1250 games
9 Fritz 11 2895 +25 -25 414 games
11 Glaurung 2.1 X64 2CPU 2875 +34 -34 235 games (more than 100 elos to version 1.2)
40 / 20:
This week we added "only 981" games to our list - I guess it was too hot in Europe 8-) . See more in our list "Games of the week". In total our 40/20 list is based now on 248.826 games! We have no new engine.

Updated engines:
We have updated results for some engines we tested last week:

Code: Select all

30 Glaurung 2.1 x64 4CPU 2927 +26 -26 410 games (+5)
- could hold start-rating just in front of Naum 2.2 4CPU)
81 Glaurung 2.1 x64 2CPU 2840 +17 -17 940 games (-4)
(the difference seems a little bit too high)
24 Fruit 2.4 Beta A x64 4CPU 2944 +23 -23 451 games (+1)
37 Toga II 1.4.2JD 4CPU 2915 +24 -24 456 games (+4)
378 Danasah 3.63 2447 +30 -30 360 games (+13)
(but around +100 to version 2.26/16)
386 Genius 7 2433 +30 -30 363 games (-5 after Danasah match)
40 / 4:
Our blitz-list will be updated too today. We will report it later!

A big „Thank you“ to all testers as usual! :)

Wow, that's surprisingly high! I think this must be the first time a Glaurung version is the best free program on one of the rating lists. Of course, it won't stay there very long.

Code: Select all

81 Glaurung 2.1 x64 2CPU 2840 +17 -17 940 games (-4)

Yes, the difference is certainly too high. I expect the rating on 4 CPUs to drop and the rating on 2 CPUs to climb a little as more games are played.

As always, thanks for your work!

Hi Tord,
I think, Glaurung can hold this position as I have an interim result:

Glaurung 2.1 x64 4CPU - Naum 2.2 x64 4CPU 21 - 20 !

Of course I try to play 100 games more this week - then we will see!

But the 2CPU version has nearly 1000 games - we will not have big surprises after more games - so I don´t know the reason of the big differences to 4CPUs.

Yes, I forgot to mention - Glaurung is the best free engine in our list!
We have only the private Fruit version with a few points more!
So - congrats from here!

best
