Re: Thinker 5.1D Passive Gauntlet- FINAL RESULTS!
Hi George,
thanks for the results.
I have one question: Do you think, this version is stronger than the version Thinker 5.1c ?
So much stronger that we can sure measure it (+20-30 elos?)
...and what´s the difference to 5.1 e?
best
Werner

5.1e is a bugfix, not a strength improvement. Ironically though, 5.1e is buggy.Werner wrote: ...and what´s the difference to 5.1 e?
5.1d is therefore best to use.
No idea as to whether 5.1c is stronger than 5.1d.

There was also a 5.1f version (the "anti-Father" release
).
Has anybody tested it against engines?
Regards, Robert

I tried but I didn't find a way to deactivate the book, so I went back to 5.1E (That doesn't seem to have problems under Chesspartner.)rhollay wrote:Has anybody tested it against engines?

Hi, Werner. Sorry i did not get to answer your question. But i have been really busy with stuff not pertaining to computer chess and havent been online much lately. I was going to answer your question now, but Graham was kind enough to take care of it for me- and left nothing to really add. Sorry i missed you.
Best Always,
