How to get games from ICC

Post by Tony Thomas »

Hey guys,

I know that many of you are still trying to get your games from the last tournament. Here is what I did to get my games..

1) History apocalypse1112 (or any other user name)
2) find the game that I want (look at the number)
3) /Mailstored apocalypse1112 x (x is the game number)
4) check your mails
You can do this for any of the other accounts, but you just have to replace the account name and the game number respectively. I couldnt get the game against Petir, because the game is not on either one of our history.

Thanks to DFME for his help..

What interface did you use after all? I thought ChessPartner auto-saved all your games played on the server.

Winboard..its much better than CP considering that Romi has time management issues. Under CP, Romi sometimes loses connection with the interface, and just runs out of time. Under winboard Romi does run out of time, but its rare..

I operated Romi once (dont remember if was at WCCC or ACCA) and i had no trouble with it + Winboard_X. I remember i had two disconnections in the same game and it resumed the play perfecty also.

Wasnt it the 50 3 time control? I am pretty sure I had time issues with it, because everyone else saw it as well.

Tony,

There is a simpler way.

type vars and you will see some pertaining to mail.
Setting one of them tells it to automail each game to you when it
completes.

I gave the directions above because I saw that you didnt have all the ACCA games, and I figured some people couldnt wait to have them. So I was just trying to give them an idea on how to receive those games if they wanted them so badly.
