CEGT - rating lists July 27th 2008

Post by Werner »

Hi all :-),
our updated rating lists are now online and can be found under the attached links.

40 / 120:
After a longer time we made an update with a lot of new entries like:

Code: Select all

5 Zappa Mexico II x64 2CPU 2945 +17 -17 872 games (new)
6 Deep Shredder 11 x64 2CPU 2939 +16 -16 1000 games (now 1000 games)
9 Fritz 11 2908 +16 -16 946 games (new)
11 Glaurung 2.1 X64 2CPU 2876 +17 -17 911 games (new)
14 Bright-0.3d 2CPU 2850 +18 -18 850 games (new)
On this list, Shredder is in front of Naum. We will see if this holds on after all engines have 1000 games or more at next update. Then we will add new engines to the list. New results you can see in our forum: http://cegt.foren-city.de/forum,2,05f69 ... 0-120.html
.
40 / 20:
This week we added more than 1600 games to our list. See more in our list "Games of the week". In total our 40/20 list is based now on 263.296 games!

This week most games are again played with new Deep Sjeng 3.0. But we have 3 new entries in our list:

New engines:
The strongest new engine is Thinker 5.2 C x64 passive which reached 2807 elos after 364 games. As there is no difference in strength we will list 5.2B and 5.2C as one engine - with 30 elos in front of version 5.1 it broke 2800 elo barrier - congrats to Lance!

The second surprise was the start rating of Delfi 5.4 2CPU. As Fabio promised: this version is clear stronger than 5.3. The start rating is with 2779 elos now 109 points better! Congrats to Fabio too!

The third new entry did it even better. Rotor 0.2 has 2279 elos and the new Rotor 0.3 now 2405! Next week we will see if the engine can hold this 126 point advantage.

Updated engines:
The different versions of Deep Sjeng 3.0 have now following ratings:

Code: Select all

22 Deep Sjeng 3.0 x64 4CPU 2951 +17 -17 867 games (+11 again)
48 Deep Sjeng 3.0 x64 2CPU 2900 +13 -13 1587 games (-1)
84 DeepSjeng 3.0 w32 1CPU 2848 +27 -27 412games (-6))
The differences are 4CPU (51) 2CPU (52) 1CPU. Note - we tested 32bit 1CPU version.

We have updated results for a a few more engines:

Code: Select all

301 Cyrano 0.5 w32 1CPU 2575 +33 -33 354 games (-15)
426 Romichess P3K 2413 +23 -23 626 games (+5)
Here you see - the engines need a lot of more games than 300 for a rating with less oscillation.

40 / 4:
Our next blitz-list will come on 3rd of August (we have holidays here...)
In the meantime you can watch new matches in our forum.

A big „Thank you“ to all testers as usual! :)
