Bug Chess 2 v.1.6.2 under Arena-GUI

Hello together,

yesterday I downloaded this chess programm to play it with Arena-GUI (WinBoard). But when I clicked on the function "computer´s move"
[software played with White], absolutely nothing happens: BugChess 2 v.1.6.2 began not to calculate, moves (with variants) and the time of reflection by the program were not shown. I informed Francois Karr about this fact.

Has anybody made similar experiences with Bug Chess 2 v.1.6.2 ?

its working here with Arena 1.99 beta 5; engine type is set to WB? (here it says Bugchess is "WB-2" (automatically recognized by Arena))

You forgot to read the "readme.txt" I guess.

To use BugChess2 you will need a UI supporting the winboard protocol : Winboard or Arena for instance. I tested both.

BugChess2 comes with a (probably poor) book. It will use it if present.

Yes, with other engines.

You should restart the engine, using it just after the installation can cause some interface bugs, got that with arena 1.99b4.
