should have been posted here, I am just learning my way around here...
I do have a Fortran Chess.f90 source, 19.6kb, which I'd share with anyone who would
be interested, especially if you have something to exchange

Chess.f90 does not appear to have any comments which give credit to individual(s) or
institution that created it, unfortunately.
Chess.f90 compiles perfectly and runs perfectly using gfortran for Win32 or Linux.
May also compile under Intel's Fortran 10.0, freely available for non-commercial use.
Anyone just starting out trying to learn about Chess Engines from Source Code might be interested in this...
I also have a non-functional conversion of Chess.f90 to visual-basic-for-dos (it's like QuickBASCI). The conversion was meant to help me study the mechanics and
dynamics of the Fortran source, but the differences in the languages formal looping
constructs, array passing and other issues have hampered conversion.
I do have some experience with Fortran and find it a very powerful and useful language.
For the simplicity of Chess.f90, I am amazed it plays as well as it does; however most
here would probably laugh at its childish mimicry...
*** I am Looking for PDF and other references on Chess Programming Theory,
and instructional videos on Chess, free-of-charge for home use.
I can be reached at RadSurfer@yahoo.com,
and on AIM as 'DigitalDTVKing'
the new era of Digital-Over-the-Air-TV is a mixed blessing, as digital means
a totally new way to control what people see and hear on a global scale!
Thanks.
