There is no human who can beat Rybka 3 A1200

Post by pichy »

According to this super performance there is no human that can beat Rybka 3 on a mere Athlon 1200 MHZ. Since Rybka 3 is stronger than its closest rival on a Q6600

I meant that if Rybka 3 on a mere Athlon can play as strong as Zappa or Hiarcs 12 on a Q6600, than it could beat Anand or Kramnik with a mere Athlon 1200 MHZ

Ah! I see!
And most of us have more than Athlon 1200mhz and when we put on it a Rybka 3, we have more tthan a world greatest-of all-time in our living room.
Cool! But not quite, as we don't get all the knowledge and vision yet, from a computer. It's strong because it doesn't make tactical errors.

My long awaited wish to have a GM brain in my computer, has not yet been fulfiled completely. (GM? perhaps, but not a top one, regarding human greatness).

I never mentioned anything about the computer having more knowledge or vision than a human GM, but if making errors is perhaps 75% of the reasons why a human does not win in most cases, than I would too be a GM since I have studied more than 40 chess books, but I still make several errors and probably most of us too.
