Chess programs on Linux are so slow

Post by terminator »

I got Playchess running through wine but the thing is so slow that when I start a friendly game the opponent aborts. I don't wanna pay for Crossover or run a dual boot. Speaking of Crossover there are no chess programs listed as being supported. Anyone got any ideas?

The answer is simple, don't play there until they decide to offer a linux front-end.
