Shredder 12 and Junior 11

Post by Uri »

Hi everyone,

I havn't been here for quite some time. Does anyone know when Shredder 12 and Junior 11 will be released? Are they still working on it or have they stopped developing Shredder and Junior?

They would never stop developing, why would you think so? :)

Shredder team recently released the WM version of Shredder. New Junior might get released after the Wcc's. Let's hope it enters CCT and gets released sooner!

I don't know. You can't really make a lot of money with computer chess nowadays because there are no world champion vs. top engine competitions anymore so I thought they quit.

Is the WM version of Shredder stronger than Rybka 3.0? Does it support multiple processing?

Chessmaster and Rybka have not played in World champ vs machine event yet they profited much.

Shredder WM version is MP I think, It's not stronger than Rybka 3 yet but it was said to be stronger than prior Shredder version.

Chessmaster has the greatest sales. Chessmaster has never played a GM as far as I can remember.

WM Shredder is about as strong as Zappa and Fritz:

Shredder 12 has been pushed up to a Spring release. He wrote that he has some new features for the GUI as well
“He knew all the tricks, dramatic irony, metaphor, pathos, puns, parody, litotes and... satire. He was vicious”

But if it's SP then why does it appear on the lists as using 2 and even 4 CPUs?
