I have Weapons of Chess and like it a lot. What other books has Pandolfini written that are good, enjoyable, and instructive?
Thanks.

I like Pandolfini's "Endgame Course"

PS: A little off topic, but I also like "Silman's Complete Endgame Course".

I just looked up your suggestion of Russian Chess on Amazon and am ordering it today! It sounds like just what I need.
Thanks. Any other thoughts?

Just when using the book Russian Chess have a chess board in front of you while using the book, thereby making the moves listed in the book on the chess board and also looking at the board while thinking of answers to the questions that are posed in it. A tedious process but recommended.
- to keep this thread on topic to the Computer Chess Club subforum, per Steve B. If you can't get a hold of the LCD computer endorsed by Bruce Pandolfini, then use a real chess board instead. The book doesn't read like a novel so a chess board in front of the reader while using the book is recommended. Preferably a real chess board. A DTG chess board would also be suitable but I don't have one.
A question: Since Steve B made a post to keep this thread on topic, as I suppose keeping it related to "computer" chess. If someone wishes to ask chess questions unrelated to computer chess are these type questions better asked in the CTF forum?
I'm just asking the question seeking clarification. Thanks.

Uncle Brucie looks like Gene Wilder!
Seriously, was my post about books (Pandolfini) not supposed to be in this particular forum? Where should posts about chess books go?
And Charles B. , thanks for the tip on how to read and get the most out of Russian Chess. I have a small magnetic chessboard set up at all times for just such books.
