FICS down ?

I cannot connect to FICS today. Anyone else ?

I tried FICS about 16 hours ago and no response.

I couldnt get on yesterday by eavening, i was on morning, and several others mentioned or asked about it being down on icc last night. I recall from past down time it could be something like a hard drive failed or what not and the fics team has proven capable of fixing it but because they are volunteers they may not get to it immediately, i can be an issue of ordering the new equipment, having a day off to drive to the site and do the work etc.

FICS had a hard drive crash. It's back up now.

Ratings seem to be current, but game histories go until Jan 31. as of now.

Fics..... Any other good severs out there? I play late in terms of USA Pcaific time ...at that time playchess has only 800+ members on line or so........
