I think it is always best to use the newer (latest) version. And that is what Leo did.pichy wrote:I am also wondering why Thinker 5.4b was used instead of Thinker 5.4a
For some reason I misread it thinking that it was 5.3b. Is 5.4b available for the public yet, or will it become commercialCThinker wrote:I think it is always best to use the newer (latest) version. The latest version for download on the Thinker homepage is still Thinker 5.4a.pichy wrote:For some reason I misread it thinking that it was 5.3b. Its not out yet, but I think Leo and a few others got an early release.pichy wrote:For some reason I misread it thinking that it was 5.3b. The new 5.4C is actually a lot better than the 5.4B that Leo has at WBEC. But its too late now to change that for WBEC. Leo only allows engine updates up to the 3rd round.pichy wrote:CThinker wrote:Its not out yet, but I think Leo and a few others got an early release.pichy wrote:For some reason I misread it thinking that it was 5.3b. I am constantly astounded at the prodigious strength you can squeeze out of such a tiny binary. It is the epitome of the saying:CThinker wrote:The new 5.4C is actually a lot better than the 5.4B that Leo has at WBEC. But its too late now to change that for WBEC.
