Seems like Alessandro's shunkin armed Hamsters were unable to overcome Romi's big brown eyes as their shunkins failed to deliver a fatal blow!

If you are on a sidewalk and the covid goes beep beep
Just step aside or you might have a bit of heat
Covid covid runs through the town all day
Can the people ever change their ways
Sherwin the covid's after you
Sherwin if it catches you you're through

Congrats Mike. By the way, I have not seen Tony Thomas post here for some time now. Does he retire from computer chess?

THANKS!
I was just trying to get Alessandro's goat, so that he would come out with version 8 for OW6! It was worth a try.
Don't have a clue about Tony.
Does Terry McCracken still post here? I believe that Tony and Terry are the same person!
Tony sent me an email once with the phrase, "I'm not mind reader Mike and neither are you"
Terry posted once, "I'm not mind reader Mike and neither are you"
I had already suspected prior, that several persons with trans gender first names and Anglo last names, were actually the same person. Or even personalities of the same Turing program by some University or government think tank.
When Tony and Terry both used the exact same incorrect English phrase above ...
There were other clues as well.
Anyway this is just fun speculation on my part.

What a turn of events. I just got burned out on computer chess. I still read the posts once in a while. I dont really believe in a good bye message as I will keep coming back. As long as Rybka has no direct competition I have no interest. I have moved on to new hobbies.. As for Mike comparing me to Terry, Yikes. If you read other posts from Terry you will realize that he did not know much about engine vs engine competitions. I have not ran a match in so long.. even I dont remember most of the stuff.. Trust me as long as one engine dominates, even toontown is more fun than Chess.Dr.Wael Deeb wrote:I think Tony wrote something that he's going to join the marines....Edsel Apostol wrote:Congrats Mike. Good to hear from you Tony,my instinct tells me that in a year, year and a half,Rybka will be surpassed....that's in the middle of 2010....Tony Thomas wrote:What a turn of events. Welcome back, Tony. Last but not least, you could choose to operate for some engine in upcoming CCT? Since you have a fresh new ICC account... and I think you wouldn't want to waste it and you'd rather well use it for CCT this weekend...and that core2quad you've bought also solely for comp chess. There's a fun blitz event following the main event as well.. so let's not miss it!Tony Thomas wrote:What a turn of events. I just got burned out on computer chess.
