Browsing books in amazon I found "How computers play chess". Just released on april, so it looks updated. I have bought it. Does anybody read it? any review?

this book was first published about 20 years ago and i dont think this is an updated version
i think it is merely a re-print i guess because of its prior popularity
the reviews are from 5-10 years ago

the last chapter called "stop press" is about the Mephisto Portoroz dedicated chess computer defeating Karpov which took place in 1990

BTW..here is a photo of that historical encounter:



while i think the book is very interesting it will not please you if you are looking for information about computer chess from the last 10-20 years

In short, this should mean about 1000 years out. (equivelant)
