Feature request for xboard

When playing on ICC, the terminal display undergoes periodic pollution with unwanted announcements like:

It would be so nice to have xboard filter out these interruptions.

It seems to me that I tried that before and it didn't work, but that may have been on FICS and not ICC.

I know announcements cannot be censored server-side on FICS at least, dunno about ICC. Of course, you can do whatever you like client-side. tells from admins go through server-side censor as well...

Announcements on FICS are somewhat less spammy though -- I think mainly it just announces relayed GM tourneys and things like scheduled downtime.
