These might improve our collective computer chess experience. Lord knows Vista could do with a little overhaul.....so without further ado.....

Installed on 2 machines here, no problems so far
I've always found Vista to be fine, nice O/S and doesn't really deserve all the criticism. It works the hard disk a lot, that is annoying, but actually since installing SP2 it has been rather quiet..

Vista SP2 has been out for quite a while now. Probably just recently it has begun to show up on Windows Updates and what not.
If you happen to have an MSDN/Technet/MSDNAA account, there are already images for Vista w/ SP2 integrated.
As of this morning as well, there is a newer build of Windows 7 Ultimate for download. It is still labeled Windows 7 RC1, but it does fix a few things. Basically Windows 7 is the look of Windows Vista, but the performance of Windows XP. It is quite good.
Here are some screen shots:

I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.

The beta has....that is true. Funny.....everyone complained when we made beta Arena'sVista SP2 has been out for quite a while now. Probably just recently it has begun to show up on Windows Updates and what not

More important to me at least is the fact that you can now use Virtual PC on Windows 7.
I personally like to have all older software at my disposal and VPC allows that.
I never want to hear another complaint about beta software again from anyone....I know you know what I mean Peter (and by that I do not mean you in particular).
All beta software is provided "as is" with a view to improvement of the software. We might release a new Arena beta after dinner. The date is the important factor in this equation.

As to the problems this SP solves.....well I can relate to Ray's problems.
This thing seems more stable now and lets be honest we cannot say that since a long time about ms sp's.

Vista has always been excellent for me. I run Vista 64 on an Intel Dual Core laptop with 4Gig RAM. Best MS OS yet, although Windows 7 is looking to be even nicer.
