ChessMaster Ratings

Post by easyking »

Hello everyone, could someone tell me at what time control the personalities are rated at in Chessmaster 11 Grandmaster edition?
Example: does a 1900 personality play like a 1900 at 5/3 or 40/2 ?
If it's at 5/3, approximately how many rating points difference at 40/2 ?
Thanks for your help.

These presumed ratings of CM are a joke in any and with every playing rythm.
A supposed 1900 player is, in CM books,a player that makes three moves of GM level and then give up a full piece,.
Preposterous.

Yes, i understand your feelings about the ratings. I do own most of the top chess programs, and play against them often. However, i find it fun to play chessmaster personalities too. If the 1900 CM personality is rated at a time control of 5/3 as an example, and sacks a piece for no reason, as you say, you still have to win the game at that time control. It's fun.
Anyways, thanks for you reply.
