A chess engine which is 100% stable, UCI so it works in chessbase, a bit weaker than Fritz 5.32 (around 2300-2400 elo ideally) ? I'd prefer an engine which tries to win and doesn't play too defensively.
I'm starting a new project. I want to test a number of top engines to see how many moves, on average, they take to checkmate a 2300 elo engine.
I bet the highest ranked program (Rybka etc) won't necessarily be the best at this.

Alas, on that website it says Ruffian 2 is no longer available. It might have been a bit too strong for what I wanted.
