Sorry can't help you about the Mentor but I was always under the impression that your chess collection was made up from chess computers costing less than $2.
What I have now stumbled across is a collection better than mine and nearly as good as your your old pal SteveB!!
Yes folks, Fern has a collection and what I am about to show you will indeed shock most people.
Also on the link is Fern playing a game with his old pal Mr Karpov and another with World Champion Vishy thanking Fern for all his help and advise over the years and without him, he (Vishy) would never have become World Champion.

An amazing collection ... hidden from even his closest freinds ..and now ..after all of these years..brought to the light of day and no longer hidden under the cover of darkness
a quick analysis of the computers he shows(who even knows all of the ones he is still hiding ) reveals a value of hundreds of thousands of dollars
and to think he cries poverty at every turn
i am simply Mortified
Mortified i tell you Regards
Steve

It is not meaningless if it is meant for only one person.

Public displays of one to one clubs are good for only those in the club.

Anyway the club does not know it seems.....so maybe.....no man is an island after all. Now....get back in your box.
