Sadly but true, the people who were organizing the first Chess960 Championship in the U.S.A. could not get enough sponsor support. Only in America big and shameful things happenedpichy wrote:2009 US Chess960 Championship will be celebrated for the first time with GM Nakamura and Gata Kamsky on first and second table. It is horrible the U.S.A could not find a decent sponsor for the first Chess960 championship, but instead it will have a ridiculous Classical World Chess Championhip, and the participants are NOT the very best players such as Anand, Kramnik, Topalov nor Levon.pichy wrote:Sadly but true, the people who were organizing the first Chess960 Championship in the U.S.A. could not get enough sponsor support.
