Sadly but true, the people who were organizing the first Chess960 Championship in the U.S.A. could not get enough sponsor support. Only in America big and shameful things happened

It is horrible the U.S.A could not find a decent sponsor for the first Chess960 championship, but instead it will have a ridiculous Classical World Chess Championhip, and the participants are NOT the very best players such as Anand, Kramnik, Topalov nor Levon.
