ICC unable to uniquely identify my computer
I registered for a trial but after logging on with Dasher it says ICC unable to uniquely identify my computer and killfiled my trial. Blistering barnacles! What was it looking for or what was it trying to put in my computer? Something in the registry or what? I last registered for a trial more then a year ago so i don't see the problem.
Re: ICC unable to uniquely identify my computer
No one has any views? My connection is a dynamic address so do they want someone with a permanent static IP? My computer has a MAC address and the network card/router is identifiable.
I read the post of someone who claims he was banned by chessbase, changed his ISP (getting a new address) and reformatted windows but still used the same router and he claims he was banned again from chessbase, because they can allegedly identify his router.
Isn't one of the ICC volunteers a member of this forum?
