I Love the title five experienced GM versus five talented young rising stars:

PS: I believe that GM Nakamura should also be in the older side:roll:

That is the point a computer does not see an immediate winning after move 21 NXc7 and will never allowed to give the rook away, since it is not within its horizon. Rybka 3 with 16 cores will not sacrifice the rook because computer are like a cancer, they like to beat you little buy little until they destroy you. That is the reason you can NOT count a GM out when they are behind in material.Vinvin wrote:Are you sure it's winning for black after 21. Nxc7 ?

It is not an automatic win for black, Rybka3 found after a few moves later that white can still draw. GM Nakamura was not forced to give the rook away, he simply sacrificed itpichy wrote:That is the point a computer does not see an immediate winning after move 21 NXc7 and will never allowed to give the rook away, since it is not within its horizon. Usually computer are very materialistic and do NOT give away valuable pieces, but after 2 hours on my slow P.C. Rybka3 saw that this rook sacrifice was winning for black.

This brillian rook sacrifice by GM Nakamura the best game of this tournament so far, was played with HN being sick
