Thank you for the announcement, Dr.D !
I would like to apologize to anyone, who already downloaded the current version, but the packages are updated now, since i just found a critical bug and fixed it. It is described at the 'version history'.
Thanks in advance for downloading it again. Sorry!

Thanks for the tests, Swaminathan!
I will work on improvement on the "E" scored themes at first.

Hi Mincho,

Pawny 0.14 still loses on time often with White in move 40
overstepping the time limit by at least 1 millisecond.(tc 40/15)
(Tested in WB with Polyglot, logs available)
BTW this is with Ponder off and it did so with all previous versions,
thus I wonder why you say at your site that it only happens with
ponder on and should be fixed now?
(I thought you would knew this, otherwise I had reported that
behaviour since long and I didn't need to stop some test tourneys
where Pawny was included initially.)

Thank you, Guenther! I will correct time used before the control ends, because it seems to be a problem under winboard (propably under arena as well), apparently because of a tiny delay made by the GUI's reception of the engines output. Those "bugs" would be fixed long ago, but the problem is that my main testing environment is compound of couple of versions of ChessBase's GUI. Now, after I am fully aware of that, new version will be released soon, without this bug. Thanks again for the information!

Hi Mincho,

The 'problem' is that WB/Polyglot doesn't forgive any! millisec overstepping,
(and the GUI doesn't lose time as all other GUIs), when it is known e.g.
that Arena missbehaves and even allows you to get away in this situation with a slightly negative!
time for move 40. (when other GUIs don't even care for timings
below 20 millisec and let you pass.)

Ok, Thanks, i will test it specially under winboard/polyglot before release it just to make sure that everything is ok! Too bad that i didn't receive any earlier feedback regarding this problem, because i had my own doubts that this is happening pretty often considering some posted tournament results.

It should be easy to fix I guess, even a time buffer of 1 sec should practically
be sufficient for the last move before the time cut in moves/time.
I will include Pawny immediately in a tourney again, if your new version is
out :) Next weekend there is a new update of my site planned finally.

Well,I use Pawny mainly under the Arena GUI and this problem is not present at all....read the Guenther statement,he's right....it applies also to a lot of engines under the Arena GUI....
