Playchess: what do you get with "limited functionality

My playchess subscription has expired. I'm considering my options going forward

When I log on now, I get the choice of "guest" or to "continue with limited functionality". Is there a difference between these two ? Presumably I could not play an engine-vs-engine match with either ?

I think to use a chess engine you need a paid-up account. Non-paid members can only play in the unrated guest section.
