Is it true that Rybka 4 is going to show only second best move and only second best line in the analysis?
Will this keep the other programmers from learning Rybka 4?
Vas needs to try something again. Maybe when you start the program it will show text, "engine running", and then "position found" or "game won". This text could be in just a plain white window.. This is all we need anyway. You are weird if you need engine output, kns, rpm, depth, oil pressure, best line, so what if the engine is running 280' F who cares, not me. Just send me a blank Rybka DVD for $140 I dont care I just dont care anymore about whos code it is, all the bitchin and whining about who is right or who is wrong.
Using the present standards-----From now on I believe in AGL instead of GPL. (Anything Goes License)(General Public License)
Wonder if Robert teaches reverse engineering in Birmingham?
It seems we need about 25 more reverse engineering experts.
Damn I have some chess money I need to spend!!!!!!!!
Someone release a new program.
does Rolf believe in Christmas? I doubt if he gets any gifts, so I was going to send him a Christmass Gift

Mr. Burcham,
In two years from now you will be accessing computer chess programs with massive EGTBs and opening books on Blu-Ray disks. Get ready!
Rybka VI will be a killer program. You will enjoy it very much. It will have unbelievable animation and AI. Lifelike animated players will play over the board with you. Nimzovitch, Capablanca, Karpov, Fischer and Huebner will entertain you in 3D.

I am sure that will not be true. I wonder what the source for such a silly claim is.kgburcham wrote:Is it true that Rybka 4 is going to show only second best move and only second best line in the analysis?

I am especially looking forward to the real text analysis of your character by an AI called... let's say Rolf.tjfroh wrote: Nimzovitch, Capablanca, Karpov, Fischer and Huebner will entertain you in 3D.

Some posts in this thread have been removed
knowing KB's posts as i do after all these years ..i am fairly certain that he intended the lead post in this thread to be somewhat satirical and humorous.. so it might make some sense not to take it too seriously

It was a little humor, based on the obfuscation of output Rybka has been doing.Gian-Carlo Pascutto wrote:I am sure that will not be true. A little hyperbole to show where it could end up, if things were developed in never-never-land.

Tim,
I'm glad you posted this
Certainly, except the Kasparov's Gambit programm which gave us a peek
into the use of virtual GM's, no other programmer has made use of Virtual Reality.
I'll still expecting to Play Capablanca, Fischer, Petrosian, Anderssen, Morphy.
Also, recreation of the historic scenary with manic detail.
A game with historical background.
