(Please note that my tournaments are made for my own enjoyment and do not intend to prove anything about the strength of the programs involved).

Some feelings about this tournament:

- Another step ahead by Stockfish. I am always impressed with this program.

- I decided to give Robbolito a book slightly less strong than to the other programs in order to balance a bit their strenghts. I got my goal: The tournament has been extremely balanced between Robbolito (1 thread) and D.S.12 and Stockfish 1.6 (8 threads each).

- Doch 64 1.2 has been an exciting discovery. If Larry Kaufman has advised the author, you can find here the results. Using only on thread, it has been not far from Deep Fritz 11 using 8 threads. (!!).

Anyway, a very exciting tournament with the confirmation of Stockfish 1.6 as an extremely strong program and the discovery (for me) of this very interesting Doch 64 1.2.

Best regards from Barcelona.

Nice tournament Tom. Is there some link to download the games?

Robbolito did great. Almost a tie with SF 1.6 and DS 12 using 8 threads. Awesome!

Doch's performance was better than I would have expected.

I would have liked you have included Rybka to see its strenght with 8 cores against the best. Maybe next time.

Carlos

Thanks, Carlos.

Perhaps one day I will learn how to upload my games, so that other people can give a look at it. Sorry!.

Tom.
