Toby Tal history according his author

Post by fern »

I heard the same incredulous and burlesque posts when Vas announced here about how strong was his beta Rybka was, years ago.
Being a naive and good natured man, I do not reject nothing until a real proof and no only jokingkly remarks are presented.
Maybe my sin is to be somewhat stupid, but that is not that bad after all.

Your sin is that you are starting too many new threads lately.
Please repent.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

No sin. I am usually overly trusting myself. There are several threads showing some data about TobyTal's similarities to Ippo and such. Some of them are in the are in the tournaments forum. You may have missed them.

The 2 cases have nothing in common.
It's completely different to say that i have an engine that is 50 points stronger than Rybka 3 than saying that i have a 128 bit engine that beats in every game Rybka 3 but FBI forbids me to make it available.

The first can happen the second has some things inside it(128 bit is a good start) that just are obvious nonsense.
After his son's birth they've asked him:
"Is it a boy or girl?"
YES! He replied.....

Certainly they are different cases, but I hold my judgement about this because there is a chance that there is something in that pretensions, if not all of them.
rarely a man'history is pure lies or truths regards
