Bug in Arena HS-20moves v10 Book

Bug in Arena HS-20moves v10 Book (book date 12/12/2009)

Unfortunately this is the same bug I reported back in Jan 27 in another Arena HS-book http://www.talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32087

However, it does clearly states in the website that this book is for Arena 2.xx GUI http://americanfoot.free.fr/echecs/telechargement

You're wrong. In the Arena 1.1 the 5)Bg5 don't exist and in Arena 2.0.1
black will play ONLY 4)..c6 with 100% priority and never h6 or other moves.
The 2.xx = book for ALL Arena GUI's ( Arena 1.1 , 1.99, 2.0, 2.0.1 ....

The move shouldn't be there in the 1st place. Any book should be as clean as possible, for any possible (current or future) GUI/user behavior

In the prior book bug (HS-Book-abk-7) the move 3. NC3 has priority 0 in Arena 2.01 but it still did get played

This bug still exists in Arena Main Book v8 http://www.playwitharena.com/download/b ... inbook.rar which is similar to HS-Book-7

Excuse me but they are. Not only that but they provide a starting point for those interested in computer chess.

If you are looking for "cutting edge" books and "current theory" you should be asking the book authors.

Arena is a GUI. We perceive books as contributions to Arena. If in doubt make your own. Is that so difficult? Must everything be provided for you?
