Gambit engines?

Post by David Dahlem »

I have an idea to set up a "Gambit Engines" tourney in Arena. So i've been searching for engines/personalities to include. So far i have GambitFruit 4bx Se, Komodo 1.0 Gambit, Shredder 12 Kamikaze, and DeepSjeng GambitKitten. Any suggestions for any other engines/personalities?

I seem to remember a Gambit Tiger UCI engine or personality, but i can't find anything with Google. Anyone know where to purchase this?

Thanks
Dave

Hello David,

Chess Tiger 2007.1 Gambit is playing in my current tournament:

It is a built-in personality in the engine. The CT package can be bought from Lokasoft.

Best Regards,
Martin

Cool!

PS: It has 2 more personalities built-in, called Gambit Agressive and Gambit Suicidal. Sounds like a LOT of fun. :D

Hi David ; Homer 2.0 is also a specialized gambit UCI engine, I believe it to be approx ~ 2600 - 2700 ELO. Respectfully, Karger

You might also consider Rybka Winfinder, and Spark. Junior tends to be wild too.

Thanks Albert. I may include Rybka Winfinder. What about Rybka 3 Dynamic?

I considered it, but felt it would outclass the opposition so much it might not be interesting.
