If you force 15.f4, Rybka prefers this line 15.f4 Qh4+ 16.Qf2 Bb4+ 17.Nc3 Qd8
Note: Rybka does not capture the pawn even at shallow depth---then retreats the Queen to d8.

Rybka does not capture the pawn after Qf2 but she capture the pawn after Bf2 and the idea of f4 is to reply Qh4+ with Bf2 and not with Qf2.

No new insights from Rainbow Serpent here but I'm posting the results anyway; Rainbow Serpent could not see advantage from playing 15. f4, at least not at the depths that could be reached on an Athlon. In the game position, before f4:

I think these PV look more similar to Rybka than to the new Stockfish :) But since the outcome is a draw in both cases even maybe after f4 if you believe Rainbow Serpent, there are probably more ways of achieving this. 15. f4 was considered but never chosen.

To get a bit deeper I went to the position after 18. Rg5 when Black has the choice of taking on h2 or the retreat of the Queen to h6. This was a long run but on my machine I think it could not really see deep enough, Black still has 0.00 on the last PV, the score never goes lower than that. But to check if it really stays at 0.00 I probably would have had to move the search forward further into the PV.

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first
place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you
are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.
