Hi,
after five month no comments from Vas to different questions.
1. Rybka 1.0 Beta and Fruit sources
2. Proofs that Ippo and co. are clones
The situation is very bad for computer chess. Means, Rybka in on 1 and the programmer is not very co-operate or try to help to solved the situation.
I hope we found very fast a new number 1, a programmer which is more co-operative and don't try to make problems in the community.
I think the persons which like Rybka and "clones" should open a new forum and discuss about such topics in an own forum.
We have 500 chess engines and not only 1. Each month again the same discuss around Rybka and Co.
A red card for so many others.
The moderation do a good work.
Not the right persons for personally attacks.
Bad situation ... I don't like it.
Best
Frank
Norman, I can understand that you will be a hero too. We all have such wishes in our brain, we are males. But do it with other things and don't waste your time for nothing. Give your energy an other topic, which is more interesting.
Thanks to Vas and here ignorance, and Norman ...

The right answer is a proof.
I am thinking on Ruffian and Leiden. Vincent D. comes with "Ruffian is a clone from Crafty ... Shredder. I mailed Per-Ola and give the information. Per-Ola sent sources to different people and the topic is over.
Its realy easy.
In the case of Rybka no reaction since more as 5 months.
Thanks!
Rowing each day!
computerchess = figurehead, where?
Its really a pity that the number 1 is involved and the programmer do nothing.
Very bad!

Re: Thanks to Vas and here ignorance, and Norman ...
The silence of Vasik toward the fans is the most disrespectful issue ever occured in the computer chess scene beside his lie to release Rybka 3+.....He thinks himself some kind of God maybe and definitely he gathered a lot of prayers to worship him....a sad situation indeed....Frank Quisinsky wrote:The right answer is a proof.

As you mentioned Frank,it's simple as that with the case of Ruffian....the Ruffian's author is an honest man and he cleared his name by sending the source code to certain people to clarify the situation....Vasik didn't,will not do it because he's hiding something and he dosen't give a damn about his fans....

Re: Thanks to Vas and here ignorance, and Norman ...
And commercial chess will get from year to year more a bad call.
Reason is such an "IGNORANCE"
I can understand the people. Means people give from year to year fewer money for commercial chess products.
Bad is that the other commercial programmers will be get a bad call to. For the dealers is the situation also bad. You know it, it's easy to speak from all if you are disapointed from one.
THANKS VAS, you do really not a good job for the community, sorry!
Rybka 3+ is a topic too, yes.
To created for years a forum, all customers have to search bugs for an update and no update comes is also not very nice.
OK, now comes the fine companys Convekta or ChessBase with new Rybka products on the marktet. Interesting are all the time not only the engine, the GUI is interesting too. I am very interested on the new Aquarium GUI, not really on Rybka 4. But I have to test it in SWCR.
I wish me a new number 1. An other programmer with a better call on the first position. This is my wish for the year 2010.
Best

Hi Wael,
but I am sure end of the year we have a clear and new number 1
Different programs I have in my brain:
1. Stockfish
2. Naum
3. Shredder
4. Komodo
Look here:
1. Stockfish ... still running SWCR test, see News 117 on SCHACHWELT
http://www.schach-welt.de/spezial/compu ... icker.html
2. Naum is on Rybka 3 level, see News 112 on SCHACHWELT, Mail by Alexander (english).
3. Shredder, I am sure that Stefan can improve the tactical weaknesses in Shredder.
4. And Don is a profi too. Very sympatical programmer. The others too with clear statments.
Gian-Carlo, Mark Uniacke ... I am sure the next Hiarcs will be a lot stronger. The new engines Spark, Critter ... comes with bigger ELO jumpings.
Let us wait of the end of the year.
