The immortal is dead

Post by Michael Diosi »

Hi,

They need some donations, they might be over quota. I am sure some will donate and support such a site instead of supporting other serious projects. If my memory serves me right they already got more than Arena in 7 years. Nevertheless Arena will remain free, Arena 2.0.5 for selected testers awaited this weekend, maybe ...

Hi,

WB protocol additions by HG now supported
up to 8 engines at the same time
Arena now sends its name on FICS so it can be again used as an interface (at least it should)
Gaviota tables will be introduced
Better time management so rapid/blitz games should be possible (at least better than in previous versions)

umm this is all from memory...

Thanks Michael.
Looking forward to the new Arena with all the improvements.
Be interesting to see the Gaviota tables included.

Best,
Gerold.

Hi,

The immortal moved, Arena didn't move. Arena doesn't write anything to regisrty in the current 2.0.1 version so it should work on a USB stick. I am confused why everybody is asking. It doesn't work for you ?
