Hi there,
different people wrote me that I should add engines from the Ipp. family in my SWCR ratinglist. I have clear rules and no interest to do that.
But an interesting option could be:
The *.pgn files from SWCR are online. Each engine vs. each engine 40 games.
Example:
User have 5 of 10 actual available commercial engines. Under the TOP-20 are 10 free engines and 10 commercial engines. So this user can config 15 engines + IvanHoe for an example.
In my database the user delete all other other engines and have automaically a rating list of this 15 engines, each one vs. each one 40 games.
Now the user add for an example IvanHoe in the list with the same conditions I have in SWCR.
600 new games (16 Engines in the list - with IvanHoe) are to play.
On a dual core system it need around 17 days, on a quad core system it need around 8-9 days.
40 in 10 with ponder up to mate = ~ 40 minutes per game.
This is possible, the SWCR databases are free.
I try to add more amateurs in the next months. So I try to produce a ratinglist with the TOP-24 32-Bit and TOP-24 64-Bit.
14 freeware engines, 10 commercial engines ... the actual situation we have. 10 commercials are under the TOP-20. With more freeware engines its more easy for people with don't have interest to buy all of the available commercial engines.
This is very easy for each one which have interest on Ipp. family engines. I have no problems if an user public results with Ipp. family engines in combination with SWCR databases.
Best
Frank
Same way is possible for other engines user will see in a ratinglist. Beta-Test from a new engine and so on ...
PS: So far the x64 rating list isn't strong enough but in around 25 days is this possible too.
Ratinglist: Ipp. family ...
