The UCI Celebration (live XQ broadcast)

Post by hgm »

To celebrate the creation of the UCI2WB adapter, so that WinBoard can now handle UCI, UCCI and WB Xiangqi engines, we throw in this extra tourney, where all 3 engine types participate. This is also a good opportunity to exercise the newer versions that became available since "The Xiangqi Clash 2010" started.

The 13 strongest engines of The Xiangqi Clash 2010 will participate, after disqualification of YSSY (which loses on time too often).

Cyclone 2009 is a stronger replacement for Cyclone 1.01, which could not play before, because it is UCI.
HaQiKi D is the only participating WinBoard engine.
BugCChess 2010.05.23 replaces BugChess 0.1d5, while EyChessU was also replaced by a newer version.

So we will have:

Code: Select all

3DChess 0.92
Binghewusi 2.44
Blcx 0.56
BugCChess 2010.05.23
Cyclone 2009
Elephant Eye 3.15
EyChessU 1.885e
HaQiKi D 1.7d h2
Kou 0.1.3
NymphChess 0.192
Swallow 0.9.1
Ultimate Fight 0.26.22
XQ Spirit 2010.05.13
The games can be followed through http://80.100.28.169/xq/battle.html

My own engine did quite poorly, losing 2-0 to several opponents it on average would draw, or even beat 60-40 in long matches. But that is what keeps these tourrnaments interesting: luck plays an important role.

BayesElo result (offset 2400):

Note that Cyclone is a commercial engine. All other engines are free, and I downloaded Kou, BugCChess, UFX, XQSpirit and EyeChessU recently from the bbs.xqbase.com forum. Most other engines came from other pages on the www.xqbase.com website (the old www.elephantbase.net pages).
