Glaurung not on the apple app store?

I read that stockfish is available for the iPhone, however, when I search for it in my iPad it doesn't show up.

Any ideas?

I have a friend who has an iPhone and I asked him to search for it and it appeared. I also asked him to search on his iPad and just like in mine, the search for "glaurung" returns nothing on the iPad while on the iphone like I said, it does show.

Any reason for this?

I guess it's because Tord hasn't developed the iPad interface yet, since he just recently got an iPad. I'm sure it will come soon, though!

Yes I know he hasn't developed an app for the iPad (but he did say in a post I read that he bought an iPad and will be developing one for it)

But all iPhone apps work on the iPad, when I do a search on the app store it partitions the apps by iPad and iPhone and I can install ANY iPhone app etc.

Not the case with glaurung since it doesn't even show up as an iPhone app which is what I was looking for since I knew there wasn't one for the iPad but I was planning to install the iPhone one.

I don't know if I'm making myself clear...

Not quite. The iPad runs an older iOS version (3.2), and can't run iPhone apps written for iOS 4. The current version of Glaurung requires 4.0 or newer. You'll be able to download and install it as soon as Apple releases iOS 4.2 for the iPad.

By the way, I finally got myself an iPad a few days ago, and have spent much of this morning working on a native iPad port. I'm not sure how soon I will be ready, but it's going well so far.
