are the engines restarted for each new game in this tournament?
I wonder why KnockOut seems to do well during the first games but later on fails miserably. I imagine having seen this already in your previous tournaments with KnockOut.
EDIT: further question, does "3-4-5 piece tablebases" also include Gaviota TB?

Hi Sven,
yes, the engines unload at the end of each game and reload for subsequent games if that's what you mean,
Engines sometimes have good runs or bad runs. This is not unique to Knockout,
Unfortunately GTBs are not used at this stage, only EGTBs and EGBBs.
