What the....

Just please don't tell us again, the authors of the engine, that it will not be released as it will harm the sales of the current commercial engines

Hello Doctor,

I think that the sales of current engines are being harmed enough already so they felt safe in releasing Spike at this time.

Hi,

it´s true. Stockfish is free and open, uses multi-cpu and stronger than most commercial engines. Thus as long as Spike is not much stronger than stockfish (would be happy if we could manage go be as strong as stockfish) it wouldn´t harm any commercial engine.

Greetings Volker

I don't think that the sales of the commercial engines are harmed at all so I do not have a problem with the release of any open engine, but with the above argument you can sell pistols, because machine guns are available and much more dangerous ...
