Hi there,
at the moment 576 of 736 games with:
1. First time control: 40 moves in 150 minutes
2. Second time control: 40 moves in 150 minutes
3. Third time control: rest in 60 minutes
Max game length = 12 hours
With ponder = on without resing factor, without endgame databases on Q9550 Intel Hardware with 1 Core
played !!
5 Engines are qualified for the final round:
1. Houdini 1.5 x64
2. IvanHoe B47cB x64
3. Stockfish 2.0.1 JA x64
4. Critter 0.90 x64
5. Rybka 4 x64
Rybka 4 x64 is qualifiend as "Lucky Winner" from the "Small-Final-Round". Unfortunately Rybka 4 Exp. 42 x64 need the "Small-Final-Round" because normaly this engine is out of tourney in Round 3 vs. IvanHoe B49jA x64 and Critter 0.90 x64 with this long time control.
5 Engines are fighting now for the title!
Each one vs. each one 16 games = 64 games for each engine or 160 games to play. This need around 8 days because 8 matches are running to the same time.
If you have interest on the FINAL ROUND you can visit the Live-Results or the Replay-Zone (with GUI comments).

Does 'Live-Results' mean you can see the cross-table being updated live? Or can one really see the games in progress, like you can here? If so, I could not figure out how to do it.Frank Quisinsky wrote:If you have interest on the FINAL ROUND you can visit the Live-Results or the Replay-Zone (with GUI comments).

Hi,
only the results comes via LIVE-Mode.
Tournament table in HTML, Shredder GUI produced, are add with FTP-Trigger after x minutes automaticly on my server.
Shredder GUI have an option to produced a PGN file for an LIVE mode. But this option don't work in Shredder's tournament mode. After each game the Shredder tourney will be stopped. Possible if one game is still running only.
Sure, possible with other tools to create a live mode for PGN games. But in SWCR are running 8 games to the same time. This is a lot of work, I think too many work to create it.
Interesting for the first 2-3 months, later I think it's boring. More intersting is that the games are available!
But I found a little solution with the Replay-Zone I am using. I add games per hand in the replay-zone, 1-2 times daily (not on weekends).
All played SWCR Champions-League 2011 games can be replay online with GUI comments. So far more as 500 games. Furthermore, all games are available with GUI comments in a download file (*.cbh & *.pgn).

OK, I see. It seemed to me the new trend was towards live games, as, for instance, Martin is doing for TCEC. I am not sure people would find that more boring than watching the cross table. Even after a few months.
Once set up, it should be no work at all. You could just have 8 web pages for game 1-8, which display what you are playing at that moment.

Hi,
1. Do you think we need a LIVE-Game page where 8 games running to the same time?
2. I think most vistors have interest on results. Looking on the Live-Cross-Table, download games or looking on a rating list. Perhaps more vistors have such interest as to follow LIVE games in WWW. Because each one can play an eng-eng match on the own homp pc. More interesting as to visit a LIVE game, or not?
3. In my opinion for the long time controls is a replay-zone good enough.
Possible that LIVE games in www are "at the moment" interesting. I am not sure but I think with time the most will lose interest on it.
If a person have interest to help me with SWCR no problem. Person can have my FTP password and can develops a live game page. I don't have interest to do such things because ...
1. No knowledge about it.
2. No interest to learn more about it.
3. I am thinking one good available page for LIVE games is enough.
So we have Martin with a perfect webpage to this topic. Each copy will be a copy because the page from Martin is more as perfect.
