Hi Graham,

it appears you forgot to include the champ of the free guys :(

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Hello Matthias,

...and included Rybka.

Hmmmmm...

It is his time and effort though, all things considered.

Later.

The tournament is of 32 bits engines and it seems that ccrl does not test houdini 32 bit.

It appear that graham also did not include Rybka2.3.2a 32 bit that is a free engine that is better than part of the free engines in the tournament.

Graham test 32 bit engines and the CCRL has the following rating for free 32 bit engines.

http://computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/4040.l ... ons_only=1

1 Critter 1.01 32-bit 3119 +22 −22 66.4% −107.6 42.1% 684
2 Stockfish 2.0.1 32-bit 3118 +19 −18 68.6% −121.6 45.2% 958
3 Spike 1.4 Leiden 3021 +17 −16 49.5% +2.5 42.6% 1155
4‑5 Komodo 1.3 32-bit 3017 +17 −17 51.8% −12.0 48.8% 1033
4‑5 Rybka 2.3.2a 32-bit 3017 +10 −10 65.4% −102.2 43.9% 3263
6 Gull 1.0a 32-bit 2999 +17 −17 50.0% +0.7 48.3% 1078
7 Protector 1.4.0 32-bit 2981 +20 −20 45.4% +30.1 40.7% 840

You can see that Rybka2.3.2a is better than protector and the difference is significant.

Thanks. My bad.
Perhaps Roger would be kind enough to correct it for me?

At the present point in time, I choose not to test Houdini, which is why it's not included.
Also, it would be pointless having Rybka in both teams.
As things stand it should be a reasonably close match, although in my opinion, the Free team are slight favourites.

Cheers,
Graham.
